ProForm 465 RE Exercise Bike Reviewed

The ProForm 465 RE Exercise Bike is not necessarily easy on the eyes.  Although I've seen better looking exercise bikes on the market, my main concern is not beauty -- I'm more interested in getting a good workout without any stress, pains or additional headaches.  The ProForm 465 RE Exercise Bike promises to do this for me, and it will only cost me $400.  This sounds attractive.  But is it a good purchase?

It depends.  For some people, they have no problem hopping on an exercise bike and working out -- they don't need any music, television shows or use any other distractions.  For them, it is easy to perform a prolonged workout, and they do not get bored.  For them, there are probably better options on the market.

However, some people know the benefits and advantages of working out, but they still untroubled bring themselves to do it.  The sheer mindlessness of pedaling on a stationary bike is enough to drive them insane.  For them, the ProForm 465 RE Exercise Bike could potentially be the solution to their problems.

The main reason for this is because this bike comes with one specific feature -- a touch screen that allows you to play a variety of different games.  Yep, you can now work out and play all kinds of different games such as blackjack and Texas hold 'em.  Additionally, there are fitness-themed games such as "dropping pounds" and "calorie destroyer".  For these games, the harder you work out, the easier it is to win at them.

The theory is that this will end workout boredom once and for all.  It does sound like a good theory.  For me at least, I actually experienced motion sickness while trying to play these games.  In addition, I found them distracting to my workout, so even though the time passed quicker I felt I didn't achieve as much with my workout. 

Of course, everybody is different.  I have a friend who uses this machine and swears by it.  Of course, he likes to play video games anyway.

As for the rest of the features and the constructions of the machine, they leave a bit to be desired.  The main focus is on the ability to play the games.  Take that factor of the equation, and this machine leaves a lot to be desired. In the end, if you're interested in purchasing this, I recommend you test it out first before making the purchase.
