Proform 650 T Spacesaver Review

ProForm 650 T SpaceSaver Reviewed

The ProForm 650 T SpaceSaver is supposed to be a great elliptical trainer that is easy to store and is also extremely cheap -- usually you can find a model on the market for under $600.  However, ProForm is not exactly the best at designing their fitness equipment for extended use.  In this article, we will discuss whether or not the ProForm 650 T SpaceSaver is a good purchase.

Sometimes you don't get what you pay for.  There are cases when you pay a lot, and get very little in return.  Occasionally there'll be times when you find a good deal on something that is genuine.  In this instance you pay a little but did a lot back.  So it's not always true that you get what you pay for.

However, when it comes to the ProForm 650 T SpaceSaver, you exactly what you pay for.  Don't expect to get something great for $600, when it comes to ellipticals.  The fact is I have yet to encounter any decent elliptical trainer for more than $750.  Even then, it is rare.

This machine is designed for one specific type of person -- the one that wants to fool themselves into thinking that they are actually doing something for their fitness just by purchasing a piece of fitness equipment.  For them, they find something cheap because deep down they know that they will probably only use it occasionally at best.

Which is all you want to use the  ProForm 650 T SpaceSaver.  If you're going to use it frequently, you'll probably find that soon it will start to fall apart.  It is just not designed for more than moderate use.  I also wouldn't recommend it to somebody who is over 210 pounds, even though the weight capacity for this machine is 250 pounds.

Additionally, I've heard more than one person sharehorror stories about how this model was poorly assembled in the factory before being sent to them.  In one case, there was no resistance from the model.  What had happened was when it was assembled in the the belt fell off.

Also, I have found that it becomes noisy after using it for 20 to 30 minutes, and in some cases I feel soreness in my lower back.  In other words, it is not comfortable.

My advice to you would be to save up another $200 and $300, and purchase a better elliptical.
