ProForm E500 Strength System
Reviewed
The ProForm
E500 Strength System is a handy machine that will give you all
the strength training you need. And it will only take 20
minutes a day to get it. You can now build muscles in
your arms, back, perform pull ups, dips, work your abs and much
more. The price
for this machine comes in around $1600. Is it worth
it? That's
what will be discussed in this article.
First of all,
let's talk about the amount of resistance. The ProForm E500 Strength
System offers 240 pounds of resistance to the user, with the
option of upgrading to 340 pounds if that is your
desire. You can
increase the resistance by simply pushing a
button. Each
time you push the button the resistance will go up 1
pound. This
makes it very easy for you to dial in the exact amount of
weight resistance needed for each exercise. I particularly
appreciated this feature.
The ProForm
E500 Strength System also comes with a feature called the
"electronic personal training tracker". What this does is
automatically count your reps and sets for
you. You no
longer have to keep track of them in your
mind. This
is beneficial because it allows you to completely focus
on your workout, and not on counting. In fact, after you set
your rep number, once you reach it the machine will beep
twice notifying you that you have completed your
set.
Some strength
trainers do not offer a complete range of
motion. This
is not so with the ProForm E500 Strength System. By
having a machine that offers a complete range of motion,
you get both positive and negative resistance which
results in better definition and toning for your
body.
Over 65
exercises can be performed on the E500. It comes with nine different
workout stations to assure full body workout. My three favorite stations
are the pull up station, the dip station, and the knee raise
station. While the
E500 is not the cheapest solution on the market, it is a
complete strength system that is easy to use, and can give you
a full body workout in as little as 20 minutes a
day.
Would I
recommend it? Yes
I would. While
ProForm is not necessarily always associated with great
construction and design for their fitness equipment, this is an
exception. Two
muscular thumbs up for this strength system!
