Proform Ilog 750 Treadmill Review

ProForm iLog 750 Reviewed

The ProForm iLog 750 sure does come with a lot of features for its low price, which is under $1000.  Typically for rich features you have to pay a premium.  Their main features include quick speed and quick incline controls, adjustable cushioning, a dual grip heart rate monitor, a "fitness journal", a universal iPod dock and even the ability to customize your workouts.  Are there any weaknesses in this machine that would deter the buyer from purchasing it?  That's what we'll discuss in this article.

Unfortunately, what the ProForm iLog 750 has for features it lacks in sturdiness and construction.  Plus whoever designed it was out to lunch.  If it breaks on you, good luck preparing it. And it is likely to break if you're going to use this treadmill for anything other than walking.  If you plan on doing some jogging or running on it, you are probably better off to purchase a machine that is more sturdy.

However, if you are simply going to use it for a walking treadmill, then it is a pretty good deal.  For one thing, it is easy for you to track your progress when using the machine.  This is excellent if you're using it to help you reach fitness goals.  You will receive in-depth stats from the fitness journal.

Another great thing about this machine is that you can use it to charge your iPod, if you have one.  It allows you to listen to your iPod while you recharge it.

Some of the workout programs included helping to train for a marathon, half marathon and for 10K and 5K runs.  But like I said previously, these programs probably won't do you any good because of its poor ability to handle running.  I am not even sure how they get away with offering a lifetime motor and frame warrantee.

Other drawbacks to the ProForm iLog 750 is  that the cup holder is smaller than average, and I have occasionally experienced slippage from the treadmill belt when using this machine, even when I was simply walking on it.

For its price , it's not a bad deal.  However, for a few hundred dollars more you can purchase something that will take a lot more abuse, be used more frequently and give you better results.  The verdict for this is simple -- skip over it unless you are going to use it for a walking treadmill.  Otherwise, look for a better treadmill.
